Conference Overview
The theme of the conference and expo is "Breaking the Mould"
To align with the theme, the conference is moving away from the traditional centralised
venue and be held at the magnificent MCG from Sunday 27 - Wednesday 31 September
2009.
This venue will allow for quality sessions, an intimate yet expansive Expo area
and five star facilities for delegates and guests.
The date is significant, as it is the day after the Australian Football League Grand
Final. This date has been chosen to maximize the number of high potential delegates
attending the conference.
The participants at the 2009 conference will be a blend of:
- Business owners and Managers
- Foundry Engineers
- Skilled trades, apprentices
- Shop floor employee's, safety representatives
- Business support (purchasing, accounting, safety, environment)
- Industry sponsors and Suppliers
- Industry regulators
In 2009, the conference will not only provide the conventional technical stream,
but will also focus on providing information to our business owners about running
their business in these changing times.
We will also provide activities and learning for delegates new to the industry,
to get and help keep them engaged in the industry.
